1002 Waikiki Grand Hotel Sundeck Level

The bottom line to understand from this review is that we would most likely stay here (unit #1002) again in the future. With that said, here is a list of major things we found wrong: • Portable (not window mounted) A/C unit never dropped below 77 degrees. • Bathroom is not ADA accessible because it’s too narrow. • Main light switch is broken and a possible electrocution hazard. • Very low water pressure in shower (yeah, I know about restrictor valves). Things we found to be lacking regarding the unit: • No real view from inside the room and no private lanai. • Armoire does not allow for full-length dresses or pants to hang properly. • The “couch” is 2-sections that would be difficult to sleep upon. Therefore, this is really a 2-person room. • The Sun Deck is a public area and open to all residents/guests. However, we had no issues with overcrowding because there were enough tables/chairs provided. • ROKU TV service is provided, but we did not usually care for the programming. • Laundry room in basement did not accept cash, so had to scan QR code, set up an account and deposit money into an account to use the excellent machines that told you by phone when your laundry was done. Things we found to be excellent with the unit: • Kitchen is well-equipped with a full-size refrigerator, large coffee maker, excellent oven/toaster combo, rice maker, microwave, 2-burner cooktop and all the utensils we could use. • Lots of beach stuff is provided like boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, and a rain umbrella. • The shower had very nice body wash, shampoo and conditioner. • The view of Kapiolani park, Diamond Head, and the ocean was excellent. • Plenty of towels provided and had also had sheets available if you wanted to change the bedding. • The front desk staff was always friendly and responsive. They sent a maintenance person to fix our room’s area rug that was a serious trip hazard we found immediately upon entering our room.

We loved staying on the 10th floor at Waikiki Grand, with the amazing view of Diamond Head across the greenery of the Honolulu Zoo. The room was great —everything as advertised. Nice kitchen within the unit. Friendly staff too! All ‘n all — a perfect stay for us! Mahalo …

I found the room to be very comfortable and clean . Nice views and I liked having the outside patio/ sitting area. Host communicated well . Also really liked the descent size kitchen area. I’d recommend this place!

Mark's place was exactly how he described it. It a simple home but full of charm. The view was mesmerizing when you first see it and thereafter. Very responsive and a great host. It's a home away from home. Very accessible to restaurants, tour pick up and very walkable beach. This place is a 5 star from our family.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, thanks to Mark's exceptional hosting. The location was perfect, just steps from shops, the main strip, and the beach. The property itself was incredibly convenient, with a kitchen, living area, and all the amenities you'd need. The best part is opening your front door, walking onto the balcony and having the beach in full view!! We were thrilled with the property, our stay, and the location. We can’t wait to visit again!

This place was excellent! The pictures perfectly captured the unit. The kitchen had everything we needed for our ten day stay! Mark was always responsive to the few questions we had. We'll be back for sure.

A part le bruit c’était parfait Positive: La vue sur le Sun deck nous étions au 10e wow et la proximité de la plage. Facilité transport en commun. Negative: Très bruyant compresseur sur le toit ou à coté. Frigo bruyant et air climatisé aussi. Salle de bain très petite
